Do what Jesus Said

Do what Jesus said.

Just do what Jesus said. Such simple advice.

I visited an eight-day Christian conference for the biblical Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) recently and I heard one talk which left me with one great thought: “Just do what He says.”

The speaker was quoting Mary (Jesus’ mom) from the story of the wedding at Cana. Mary inexplicably gets all concerned because they are running out of wine. Historical note: some say that she was hosting the wedding for one of her other children, but that brings up a big can of worms, so that’s not what this article is about!

Anyway, Mary goes to Jesus and says that they are about to run out of wine. He answers cryptically that it isn’t his time yet. She hurries over to the servants and says, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

This is the best advice ever.

Whatever He says to you, do it.

Mary, talking about Jesus

So in honor of that great advice, I’m listing the verses I playfully put into a children’s ABCs activity book, spoken by Jesus. In alphabetical order.

Ok, I’ll bold the words used to alphabetize.

So these are all things Jesus said to do.
